Own your own business:
You are in charge of your own destiny. Instead of making your boss rich, all the work you do actually

You choose your style of working: face-to-face, through the mail, over the phone, in small groups or huge gatherings of people. Every single aspect of your business is up to you. It's your
choice because it's your business. Low capital investment and no overhead costs: Traditional business cost tens of thousands of dollars to establish. 6 Fears That Keep You From Starting Your Own Business

I got this from Young Entrepreneur facebook page, and thought of sharing with you.

Your life will change when you start your own business. But how it changes is up to you. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/254095

“Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.” -- Henry David Thoreau.
Some of my friends love telling me how great their jobs are. They brag about everything they do. Then, in the same week, they complain about everything they have to deal with.
This isn’t surprising. Most people are dissatisfied with their jobs. In fact, 70 percent of Americans aren’t engaged by what they do for a living. Let’s put that into perspective. There are around 120 million full-time workers in the U.S. right now and 84 million of them don’t really like their jobs.
Are you one of them?
Related: The Only Thing Not to Fear Is Success Itself
Starting my own business was the last thing on my mind when I graduated from college. I just wanted a stable job and a dependable income. I wanted benefits and vacation time. Free coffee and a food bar would have been nice, too.
But as the years went on, I realized the nine-to-five life just wasn’t for me. I began entertaining the idea of starting my own business but kept coming up with excuses not to. Eventually, I realized I needed to face my fears head-on.
Here are the six biggest fears I had to overcome.

1. Failure

Imagine putting everything you have -- your hopes, dreams and finances -- into starting your own business, only to watch it crash and burn. According to psychologists, the fear of failure is at the very top of the totem pole above the fear of separation and loss of autonomy.
How I overcame this fear: I had to redefine success. I realized it wasn’t enough for me to be at a decent job with decent pay -- security wasn’t my definition of success. For me, success meant chasing my dreams and achieving my goals. That’s when I realized I’d be failing by staying at my current job.

2. Inadequacy

Before I started my own business, there was a voice in my head telling me no one would take me seriously if they knew what I was really like. That they’d see me for what I was -- an impostor. The voice reassured me that I was okay where I was, even if I couldn’t stand my job.
How I triumphed over this fear: I used to think some of my colleagues were just naturally confident. That they were born for success. Nothing could be further from the truth. Everyone feels inadequate, insecure and unworthy. It’s how we deal with these feelings that determines how far we can go professionally. As soon as I came to the revelation this was everyone’s problem, the fear diminished.

3. Humiliation

Sometimes, the fear of rejection or ridicule can be even more pronounced than the fear of failure. There are 102 things we worry people will laugh at us for. We’re so anxious about what others think, that we let dreamed-up embarrassments limit us.
How I rose above this fear: Starting my own business was almost embarrassing. I didn’t know what my friends or family -- who’ve known me since I was a dorky kid -- would think. I was worried they wouldn’t take me seriously. I was worried they’d laugh. But they didn’t. In fact, they’ve been nothing but incredibly encouraging and supportive. You’d be surprised at how many people want to root for you.

4. Poverty

This was a big fear of mine. I grew up in a poor family and was worried I’d stay poor if I couldn’t secure a decent job. Since it’s so hard finding a job in the first place, why would I voluntarily let a good thing go?
How I let go of this fear: I recognized that I had a scarcity mindset. I believed that I had to hold onto the few “wins” in my life, or I would lose everything. Ultimately, this way of thinking prevented me from being as successful as I could be. So I let it go and opened myself up for success.

5. Separation

Worrying I’d be poor was just one manifestation of a much bigger fear -- the fear that I’d lose everything I had, even my close relationships. Without a stable career and a decent paycheck, I was worried I’d be a total loser, that I would have nothing to offer at all.
How I separated myself from this fear: This is classic separation anxiety. It’s also a very cynical way to be. I realized the people in my life wouldn’t vanish if I wasn’t successful. And if they did, they weren’t really my friends anyway.

6. Success

If you can believe it, the fear of success is very real. It plagues many people on the cusp of self-actualization and true independence. It’s ultimately a fear of standing out, and stems from feelings of inadequacy.
How I stopped being scared: Most people are afraid of change. I certainly was. But life and business are all about embracing change. If you’re afraid of failing -- or succeeding -- at your own business, just think about how you’ll feel if you didn’t try.
I decided to try, because I knew I desired success.
Don’t lead a life of quiet desperation.
“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” -- Michael Jordan
Make no mistake -- your life will change when you start your own business. But how it changes is up to you. If you think you have what it takes, you owe it to yourself to try. At the end of the day, no one is stopping you but you.

Chinese company boss treats 2,500 employees to holiday in Spain

tiens spain
Two and half thousand Chinese workers have been enjoying the sights of Madrid after their boss stumped up €7m (£5.5m) to take them on a Spanish holiday.
Li Jinyuan, the billionaire owner of direct-sales firm Tiens Group, chartered 20 planes and booked 1,650 hotel rooms for the party. After their Madrid visit, the workers will board four specially reserved high-speed trains to Barcelona.
On Friday morning, the Moralzarzal bullring was a sea of blue caps and selfie sticks as the group attended a “bloodless” bullfight preceded by a flamenco dancing display. The workers then enjoyed a lunch of paella and sangrĂa.
“We chose Spain because the people are warm, friendly and passionate,” said Li Zongmin, the magnate’s son and a Tiens vice-president. “Furthermore, the food is delicious.”
France rolled out the red carpet for Li Jinyuan last year after he decided to send more than 6,400 of his employees there in what was reputedly the biggest tour group ever to visit the country.
For that mass holiday, Li, who is worth at least $5.9bn and has been ranked as China’s 33rd richest person, splashed out on 84 planes, 200 hotels and a private tour of the Louvre.
tiens world record
Tiens Group, led by Chinese billionaire Li Jinyuan, organized the vacation for half of its employees to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the multinational firm, which dabbles in everything from biotechnology to tourism and cosmetics.
The travelers took up almost 5,000 rooms in the French resort of Cannes and neighboring affluent microstate of Monaco, in addition to 140 Parisian hotels, according to the BBC. The Asian sightseers represents France’s largest tour group, and were treated to a private tour of the Louvre and a live performance of the cabaret Moulin Rouge.
The trip will pump $14.6 million into the French economy.
For their part, Tiens’ employees did not merely amble around gaping at France’s cultural offerings. While on vacation, they also set an ambitious new Guinness World Record for the longest “human-made phrase” while on vacation.

A Letter from Chairman Li Jinyuan to Tiens Global Distributors

Endless Life and Continuous Effort to Fight –
A Letter from ChairmanLi Jinyuan to Tiens Global Distributors

At the sound of the Third Business Wave horn, Tiens Group, as a huge corporate aircraft carrier today, is sailing into the waters of the booming and highly competitive direct selling industry. Ahead of us is the boundless expanse of challenging ocean, which seems peaceful at the surface while waves and crisis hide beneath. Competition is equivalent to a cruel game. The only law which rules the game of competition is the law of jungle, is the survival of the fittest, is selecting the superior and eliminating the weak. The brave wins when two meet on a narrow path. Facing the tough competition, in order to let more people to have job security, to let more families to live a happy life, to let more people own a self-fulfillment stage, to let our global distributor friends build up their business platform and realizing their dreams, I, as the founder of Tiens, will unwavering lead our global distributor friends to become the giant of the business ocean no matter how rough the waves roll ahead, to accomplish our great Third Business Wave successfully. I’m the Captain. Come with me!

At the early stage of my life, I left behind the enterprise already established and the comfortable life in my hometown Cangzhou to start a venture with even bigger dreams, experiencing rise and fall, complicated and volatile circumstances. Although met with great hardships, even narrow escaped from several destruction, I survived with the power of my inner dreams. I strive from a helmsman of a small ship to the Captain of the huge aircraft carrier-Tiens Group, whose businesses covering more than 190 countries and regions worldwide.

I've made myself enormous success and now what kind of future will I take? It is a matter of choice.

I’m the Captain. I must undertake the responsibilities of the Captain.

Choosing to be Captain is in fact choosing to bare risks, to choose responsibility and pressure, to choose the tiredness of bitter hardship. However, I do so with absolutely no regrets, since I know my choice will benefit the country, the society and the family, as well as preserve employment, new businesses, secure investment, growth and high profit.

I am the Captain. The Captain stays firm at his position.

I can remember that when the Ship of Tiens sailing against the fierce waves of competitive market, when all employees falling to sleep in the nights, I, as the Captain, should keep the light lit in the captain cabin to inspect if the equipment on the Ship are running well at every second; should scout far to see if there are icebergs or hidden rock to avoid the catastrophe of Titanic. I can remember that when the Ship of Tiens landing the shore, when all employees leaving for vacation and family gathering, I, as the Captain, should stay firm at my position; should give up the holidays and work 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. During the Spring Festival of the past 19 years, all employees shared great times with their family while I spent all 7-day holidays visiting VIPs for a better public relation for the coming year.I am the Captain, I pained and gained for Tiens’ Businesses.

I am the Captain. The Captain is willing to burden and sacrifice.

In the hard times of Tiens’ start-up, I sold off my properties to keep the company running. My last and most precious property, a Mercedes-benz car, was sold off to pay the salaries and to keep my credibility to all employees. At this point of time, if necessary, I am willing to offer all my belongings to all employee and distributors in the name of credibility and responsibility. I had invested all incomes to build a grand Tiens International Health Industrial Park, covering 1 square kilometers and a magnificent Tiens International University, covering 3.2 square kilometers, with an area of structure of 2,100,000 square meters and a capacity of over 30,000 students. The Tiens International University is to be opened to students from Tiens families and other places all over the world. It is a place in which you may seek for knowledge and benefits generations, a place which will strongly support the Tiens Business and of which all Tiens members will be proud.

I am the Captain. The Captain would like to encourage every excellent distributor friend globally, to award them with the highest honor and the most competitive rewards in the industry.

Starting from the first Wave of development-“opening up wasteland, opening up the Chinese market”, to the second Wave -“Setting sail to the sea, expanding the international market”, every year I awarded the “outstanding crew (outstanding distributors)” with cars, yachts, airplanes and villas. In 2015, on the trip of our Third Business Wave, on Tiens’ 20th Anniversary Convention, I will award outstanding distributors worldwide with 2000 BMW cars, 400 luxury yachts, 300 private airplanes and 100 luxury villas. As a captain, I desperately hope that Tiens Aircraft Carrier could speed up on the "New Superb Plan Express” channel with improved standards. I, together with all Tiens family, will abide by our positions, refine our job, to guarantee the Gear Effect in the company. Work streamlined and efficiently, look top-down and inside-out. We shall improve our speed and standards of all aspects, ensuring interlocking and multi-level bonuses. Based on the fast track of each distributor’s rank promotion, with the “New Superb Plan Express”, growing like sesame in bloom, rising steadily, I hope you will receive all bonuses you can get of each reward. No gains without pains. The outstanding, hardworking and fast-acting distributors should enjoy the abundant fruit you have been working for with relentless effort.

I am the Captain. The Captain will sacrifice his own life for the big Tiens family.

When my parents needed my attention at their old age, when my children needed my attention as they grew up, when I was ill and needed to see a doctor … Those things were very easy for most people. But it was so hard for me. When my mother passed away, I was on my “voyage” in Africa,to fulfill the promise I made to Tiens’ Africa family members. When my children cried for their father under the flying lion statue, I could only stand in the corner quietly. For Tiens Business, I have to sacrifice my own life for the whole family. I have no regrets.

I am the Captain. The Captain has to be strong.

Although few people understand my inner helplessness and loneliness, as well as my grievance and sadness on my mind, even few people to talk to, I would never weep, because an entrepreneur has to be strong. As the enterprise facing the huge investment losses caused by the decision-making mistakes, I have to bear that by myself, while in my face, it is still the confidence and smile presented to everyone; In order to embrace the customer and grasp the market, even being too tired, I still runaround continuously, going to the markets worldwide; in spite of the doctor’s warning about being careful to drink, for the enterprise development, I drink glass by glass until the customers are satisfied ... Never giving up, never cowering away, for the success, I have to be strong.

I am the Captain. The Captain will pursue the great dream of human health all his life.

Many people think that running an enterprise is to make money, and it is reasonable to be even tired out. But how many people know that if it is just for making money, many bosses who have completed the primitive accumulation can choose to sell the enterprise unscathed, as the money earned could not been spent in their whole life. I can do so as well, but I have a great dream and pursuit for the human health, with tens of millions of Tiens Business followers behind me, I have to be responsible for all, thus, I will not stop pursuing the dream of human health.

I am the Captain. The Captain is ready to strive for Tiens for his whole life.

I often warn myself that, it’s my responsibility to take care of all the people on board as I have chosen to be the Captain. I did get depressed now and then and on the verge of giving up sometimes. However, I abandoned this idea and cheered up for all Tiens distributors’ happy life, for the dream of health for mankind. Therefore, what you can read on my face is always the heroic expression of going forward and forward.

My dear fellow friends, I am so proud and with great passion. During the long journey of the past 19 years, it was you who accompanied me through ups and downs; it was you with whom we created miracles one after another. In long term future, thousands upon thousands people of you with insights will share joys and hardships with me to make more miracles. I am the Captain of Tiens aircraft carrier. I am a convinced idealist. More importantly, I am a responsible realist. I sincerely invite all the global distributors to follow me for our common Tiens dream, for the bright future of Tiens, for the happy life of global Tiens people. Come with me. Let’s move on together, dedicating our whole life to the fight for success!

It’s Not Too Late to Start Your Business

Three advantages of middle-aged entrepreneurs
By Kim Kiyosaki

This week, I read that the fastest growing segment of people starting companies is those aged 45 to 54. That’s right. The fastest growing entrepreneurship age group is the middle agers. This is great news!

I meet a lot of women who want to start their own business but feel that it is too late. For women, this is especially tough because many have spent most of their lives juggling many responsibilities that involve taking care of others as a wife, mother, and employee. So, when they get to a point in life when they can start to dream for themselves, they can be intimidated by not just gender bias but also age bias.

As one woman said in the article, “It’s weird to go to a meetup and literally be the oldest person in the room. If you sit there and dwell on it, you feel like a total outsider. You feel like, ‘What the hell am I doing here’?” I can sympathize with this woman. When Robert and I started the Rich Dad Company, we were in our middle ages. After the failure of Robert’s first business selling Velcro wallets, we had to climb out of over a million dollars in debt. We spent much of our early years learning about money and improving our personal finance skills. We invested in ourselves and our future, and then we launched another business. We weren’t the youngest or the boldest, but we were much wiser.

For both Robert and I, there were some distinct advantages to starting a business when we were a little older.

1. We learned to learn from failure
Fear of failure is one of the things that hold many people back from starting their own business. As you get older, you realize that you cannot avoid failure—we make mistakes! Instead, if you want to be successful, you learn to live with failure, to understand the lessons it teaches you, and to be that much better the next time. For most people, this is something that can be only learned with age. Most successful entrepreneurs and business owners will tell you that failure and the lessons they’ve learned from it has been a major factor in preparing for their present success.

2. We were more focused
When you’re younger the world is so wide open that it can sometimes be hard to know exactly what you want and to focus on going after it. This is not a bad thing, as many younger people have extreme amounts of energy and passion for multiple things
and projects until they find something that sticks. But there is a distinct advantage to coming into your own, to knowing what you want and what you have to do to get it.
For Robert and I, this was the realization that we wanted to teach people about money. We had done a number of different ventures prior to that, but once we really discovered our passion, that is when we became most successful. We were more focused, and that focus equaled greater entrepreneurial accomplishment.

3. We were more comfortable with others and ourselves
Being a successful business owner takes great skill in selling, speaking, and leading others. These are skills that can only be developed over time, even if you have some amazing natural talent. Going back to learning from failures, one of the biggest things you learn is how to better sell, better speak, and better
lead. Because you’ll make a lot of mistakes in those areas along the way!
This is not to say that young people can’t start and run great companies. Many do, and I hope more do! But the reality is that people in their middle ages and beyond do bring a unique perspective to the entrepreneurial table, and they can be just as
successful as their younger counterparts. All you have to do is start.

To women who think their best days have sailed past them, I say, there is never a bad day to start realizing your dreams. It is never too late to be who you want to be and do what you want to do.
