PEPSIC ULCERS

Symptoms

Burning stomach painFeeling of fullness, bloating or belchingFatty food intoleranceHeartburnNausea

The most common peptic ulcer symptom is burning stomach pain. Stomach acid makes the pain worse, as does having an empty stomach. The pain can often be relieved by eating certain foods that buffer stomach acid or by taking an acid-reducing medication, but then it may come back. The pain may be worse between meals and at night.

Causes

Peptic ulcers occur when acid in the digestive tract eats away at the inner surface of the stomach or small intestine. The acid can create a painful open sore that may bleed.

Your digestive tract is coated with a mucous layer that normally protects against acid. But if the amount of acid is increased or the amount of mucus is decreased, you could develop an ulcer

Complications

Left untreated, peptic ulcers can result in:

Internal bleeding. Bleeding can occur as slow blood loss that leads to anemia or as severe blood loss that may require hospitalization or a blood transfusion. Severe blood loss may cause black or bloody vomit or black or bloody stools.Infection. Peptic ulcers can eat a hole through (perforate) the wall of your stomach or small intestine, putting you at risk of serious infection of your abdominal cavity (peritonitis).Obstruction. Peptic ulcers can lead to swelling, inflammation or scarring that may block passage of food through the digestive tract. A blockage may make you become full easily, vomit and lose weight.

Menopause

Today is World Menopause Day.
This is a subject that is very rarely spoken about.
World Menopause Day is a worldwide awareness call for women who face health issues when approaching, during and beyond the menopause.
The International Menopause Society’s World Menopause Day Awareness Campaign highlights the opportunity of using the menopausal period to assess female-specific risk factors and preventing the development of cardiovascular disease.

While menopause is a perfectly natural occurrence, hormonal changes & other changes can lead to heart disease. Reduce your risk factor; A Happy Heart is a Healthy Heart.
Eating a healthy balanced diet is very important. Your diet should include plenty of fruit & vegetables and a good source of calcium. During the menopause, women are at risk of rapid bone loss. It is caused by a drop of woman’s hormone production. Long-time calcium deficiency can result in osteoporosis.

Tiens Super Calcium is one of the best on the market. In 21 years, Tiens calcium products have been sold in over 200 million boxes, to more than 190 countries and regions in the world.
Calcium is a chemical element essential for life that builds and regulates proper functioning of the human body. In TIENS Calcium products, calcium is provided in a unique form of calcium hydroxyapatite. Numerous research studies have shown the calcium hydroxyapatite has been more effective in the maintenance of bone mass and preventing and slowing bone loss versus traditional calcium sources such as calcium carbonate, including post-menopausal women and patients with manifest osteoporosis.

Other Tiens products that may help along with Super Calcium:
Vitality soft gel - To maintain the vitality of the body and increase blood capability carry oxygen
Zinc - To stabilise the body's enzymes and hormones.
Evening primrose – Good Hormonal Effects. It helps by minimizing the symptoms of menopause and menstruation, due to the oil’s preventative effect on the production of prostaglandins. This is particularly good for eliminating menstrual cramps and preventing menopausal hot flashes.
